Nature Museum

Brooke has had a recent obsession with butterflies, so I was sure she'd be pretty excited to see some real ones. We head out to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to see the Butterfly Haven.

I explained to them that there were over 75 species of butterflies and we looked for a few of them on the checklist. We looked at them for maybe 10 minutes when Brooke announced she was done and ready to go. Figures.

As usual, the kids favorite part of the day was lunch. Again, figures :)

Before we left I asked them to take a picture on the butterfly bench. Since they were pretty much over being cooperative, they were hard to convince. Luckily I had a couple of fruit snacks. After a couple of attempts (and threats) they happily obliged.

Funny thing is, I had to use this same method last time I tried to take a picture on this very same bench!
