He Said / She Said

Mom (to Luke): here's a pencil and pen, you can write Mommy a note.
Luke: how do you spell no?
(He thought I said "write Mommy a no")

**********

Luke (to Ryan): Mommy sleeping! Don't taco her!

First we stopped at Roscoe Bikes to fill up the wagon tires. Then we were back on our way.

Retro on Roscoe

We (and by that, I mean me) decided it would be a good idea to go to a Retro on Roscoe on a 100 degree day. Kids didn't notice initially - hence the joy as they jumped. The guy working the harness for Ryan pulled it up and made him hang there. Took him a bit to even realize! He was so focused on the surface below planning out his next jump ... He didn't really he was just hanging there ;)

The plague

Ryan has had an ear infection for over a week and is in his second round of antibiotics. Luke has had a head cold / sinus infection for the last few days and was put on antibiotics today.

Then, I noticed Brookes cheeks looked pretty flushed. Sure enough, she had a fever.

Problem was, her and Ryan had a play date set up with friends across the street. I told her she couldn't go and she ran away screaming and crying. I followed a bit later to find this at her door.

Mom & Ryan Date

Because Brooke had a Playdate I took Ryan to Chuck E Cheese. On top of the 150 ticket jackpot he won on a football game ... I also bought him ice cream and pizza.

Im pretty sure I'm his favorite person. At least, today I am.

Weather Girls

Brooke went with friends Rylee & Gabrielle to the Peggy Notebart Museum today. They had an new exhibit with a green screen where they could report the weather. Apparently (as if the smiley faces are not enough) it was a big hit.

Sunday He Said / She Said

Luke: what's that?
(He says while pointing to the wall)
Mom: what? You see your shadow?
Luke: no! It's a wall!
