After much begging from the kids, we put in applications at PAWS Chicago and the Michiana Humane Society to be dog/cat fosters. This morning Michiana called me and said they had two 8-9 month old cats that needed to be fostered. We decided to suck it up and get them. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, they're trying to keep the shelters clear. Michiana said they'd already placed 36 animals in foster homes that week! I went to pick them up and literally sat in the car while the supplies, litter, and cats were brought out to me. I signed nothing and drove off with the cats :)
Pixie and Eerie are both quite skittish. They run and hide when we are near. Hopefully they warm up to us eventually. Tonight, Brooke found that as long as she literally doesnt move a muscle ... Pixie will explore in her vicinity. Pixie, the female, smaller than her brother. She's also much more inquisitive and brave. We anticipate she might be a bit of a trouble maker when she finally get into her comfort zone.
