Blueberry Picking

Today was the perfect day for blueberry picking. As usual, I think we ate more than we brought home. There were definitely some big ones out there though! The Biggest Blueberry Contest was a tough call... but Brooke seemed to have found the biggest one of all.

Hard at Work

After picking we decided to try an ice cream shop that I have heard a lot about - Cabo's Ice Cream in Michigan City. The ice cream was actually really delicious and there was a nice deck right out in front for us to hang out on. It was the perfect reward for some hard work in the fields.

4th of July

Jeff had to work, so we decided to watch fireworks in Evanston
(and stop into Kilwins first!)

We've actually never seen the fireworks in Evanston until this year. We all really enjoyed the show! (Except for dad, who was working).

Ryan claimed he was too tired to walk on the way back,
Luke passed out, I had to pull them both in the wagon.

July 4th in Evanston

Dad had to work at Kilwins tonight, so we decided to see the fireworks in Evanston and say hello to him at the shop. We parked close to Kilwins and stopped in. Then we pulled the wagon (with Luke and our blanket) to the lakefront at Centennial Park. The fireworks were really great and all three kids were interested in the whole show. The walk back to the store was pretty insane. Everyone seemed to be heading in the same direction on the same street as us. Luke could not stay awake until we got back and took a little snooze in the wagon.

Michigan With Lily Day 2

We packed day 2 with as much activity as we could!

Started off with some pool time...


Then went to St Joe's to hang out and grab dinner.






We had to take her to Silver Beach Pizza, of course!





The funny mirrors inside the Silver Beach Carousel kept them busy for quite a while!
