Nationals vs Mets (Skinner North Showdown)

Ryan played against his friend, Miles', team today. He received (one of three) defensive player of the game awards. He had some great throws (and outs) to first and third as pitcher!

After the game we went out to dinner with Miles' family. The boys had so much fun I think we were lucky we didn't get thrown out of the restaurant ;)

Day 2 of Summer Break

After a trip to the doctor, we went to Mary Bartelme Park (West Loop). The kids were psyched about the climbing structure, but not about the 90 degree sun beating down. So, park time was minimal and lunch included many delicious cold beverages.

Luke, who now refuses to nap, passed out in the car. This appears to be the new thing anytime we are in the far more than about 20 minutes!

Brooke Finishes Up 2nd Grade!

While she struggles with some sadness over the year coming to an end (and the retirement of her teacher, Ms Dow), Brooke went to school this morning for her last day of 2nd grade!

She was excited for a day of fun and we have some friend fun planned for tonight too ;)

Luke Last Day

Luke is on his way to his last day at Wonderland Activities Center!

Just a few months ago we weren't sure he was ready to handle a preschool program. Now he's already wrapping up. He did amazing, of course. Never doubt the little guy ;)

He insisted on a chocolate milk and scone to celebrate!
