First Spelling Bee

Brooke participated in her first Spelling Bee!
She passed round 1: elbow
She passed round 2: massive
And was out on round 3: perilous

The school had all grades compete together - so there were 8th graders doing the same words! All the 2nd grade remaining kids were also out with Brooke in round 3, as the words got increasingly hard.

We are so proud of her! After she passed the 1st round (which was a primary goal) the relief on her face was enough to know we had achieved success.

James & The Giant Peach

On her first day back to school after break, Brooke was in her first theatrical production! Brooke performed with the 2nd grade only cast on stage for James And The Giant Peach.


It was a great show! The kids dances and sang and had a great time. It was a positive experience for her and she's signed up to partake in the second show, The Lion King.
