Apparently Brooke got my phone and wanted to caputure some memories of brushing her teeth ;)

Christmas Night

The kids finished the day all coloring Brooke's new coloring books together, in her room, on her new desk. It was the perfect finish to a bit of a crazy day.

Christmas Day

Brooke spent the whole day at her new desk. Making slime, coloring, reading & watching a movie.

Luke ate cookies

played some games

And tried out his new bubble wrap

All the kids did a little karaoke

Christmas Morning

Ryan started with his stocking first, pulling out
one item at a time and carefully investigating

Brooke sat at her new desk (which she never got
up from for the rest of the day) and checked out her stocking

Star Wars LEGOS received many squeals

Ryan sat on his snow tube and tore through
one present after another.

Brooke slowly, and carefully, opened each present. Taking the time to cherish
and discuss each one. You could tell she was deliberately making the moment last.

Little guy also started with his stocking, but needed to eat some chocolate.
Immediately.

The one thing on his list was a "Star Wars Gun",
and Santa delivered!

Luke tore through his presents in record time, but later
went back to explore. The whoopie cushion
was a bit hit.

All three kids received a karaoke machine from Santa. Sure to be the root of many future headaches :)
But great for our trio of budding singers!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Wearing their new pajamas from Chippy, the kids sat down to listen to Dad read a book.
However, there was little sitting as the nerves and excitement of what was to come
was bubbling up all over.

Buckeyes

Jeff had the idea to make buckeyes, something we've never done. The kids were all for it, for about 5 minutes. He did most of the work himself ;) They turned out delicious ;)

Dad let Brooke use the mixer,
much dough went flying all over the kitchen

 

 

Luke did a great job rolling the balls
Although I believe his hands were licked often

Christmas Cookies

We did a rather speedy job on cookies, with sugar and chocolate-chip from the package. The kids smooshed the sugar cookie cubes into sifferent sprinkles ... and honestly they turned out pretty well. But it wasnt our usual effort.

Thankfully Jeff decided to make Buckeyes, so there was at least a little hand crafting this year.

Xmas Eve, Brunch

Despite the fun walk in the snow to John's, one
kiddo was not too thrilled with our Xmas Eve brunch.

Luke was in good spirits, energized by the fresh snow

And, feeling adventurous, he tried ketchup n' eggs
And, of course, he liked it

The kids divided up sections and each took a different part - because of that there were very few arguments. However, everyone wanted to help Luke ... but he refused.
