Halloween Party

Brooke and Lily Timberlake won the mummy contest at a friends Halloween party. Brooke also won the freeze dance contest.

If that wasn't enough fun for the day, we picked up Zoe for a sleepover and took the kids to watch the Cubs in the World Series out on a big screen.

Fairy Whoops

After school we got home and I noticed the little bowl I had placed Ryan's tooth in was missing. Then I noticed that little bowl was in the dishwasher ... "cleaned up" by the nanny during the day. I crawled the floor and shoved my arm into the garbage disposal. Jeff went through the trash.

Luckily I had the idea to check for an old tooth ... and found one. It was even the correct tooth (one of the bottom two). We swapped it out without notice.

Then Ryan accidentally flung it off the pillow he'd placed it on. We almost lost the backup tooth. It was soon found, and Ryan is peacefully sleeping with his sisters tooth in his little tooth pillow.

Excited to see how he reacts to his first Tooth Fairy Visit!!

Every Monday Brooke does this summary and sketch of what we did over the weekend. I love seeing the thing she highlights ... and her drawings always share these little details about that experience.

This week she wrote about the campfire event we went to at Chase Park. It's not surprising that the smores were the feature of her memory ;)

Feeding The Kitty

According to Luke, this kitty likes cheese. Last night he read a book to Chewbacca (known known as Chewy) and proclaimed him to be a "good listener".

It's good to have furry friends.

Took Luke to the doctor to get an eye tic checked out. Ryan insists on writing the whole family's name in bubble letters. It's a new skill ;)

He'd put it in the wagon and go in search of
another. And we'd remove it while his back
was turned. Who needs 20 pumpkins??

Luke probably picked up about 20 pumpkins

Happy 9th Birthday Brooke!

For her birthday lunch, Brooke wanted Jimmy Johns ... of course.

And she held her birthday party for her friends, on her actual birthday this year. We rented out a movie theater and showed a bunch of short films. It was a bit hit with all the kids :)

All the popcorn, cake and cookie was not enough. We needed to have ice cream dessert at Uncle Brad's, to continue the celebration.
