He Said / She Said
(Downtown by chocolate factory)
Brooke: I can't really smell it. I have a stuffy nose.
Ryan: It's such a smell, you can smell it right through your boogers.

He Said, She Said
Brooke: I'm glad I'm not Spanish people
Me: Why?
Brooke: Because they have to speak long words!

Ryan (to mom): What if I lived in your mind?

Brotherhood
For the past two days they've been chasing each other around with lightsabers (courtesy of Uncle Brad), having many battles and many giggles. Tonight they're coloring Spider-Man together.
Watching their relationship grow is definitely one of my greatest joys.

First Snow
We got our first real taste of Winter this weekend - in more ways than one. Mom & Luke have been stuck in with the cooties. Dad took the kids out to burn off some of the stuck-inside-because-its-all-ice-outside-craziness.

Ryan is FIVE!
Ryan's fifth birthday began with sugar and ended with sugar. We went to HERO coffee bar before school to get some donuts. It was a good idea because prior to donuts it was the "worst birthday ever". The tune changed after an assortment of glazed, sprinkle and chocolate were placed in front of him :)
We also went to John's to celebrate, which seems to have become our kids birthday tradition. The apparent lure of Johns? Ice-cream, of course.
Even Luke got into it, deciding that ice-cream made an appropriate dip for dino nuggets.
After dinner we opened a few presents. Well, Brooke mostly took charge of that!

Goodbye cute little curls!
The little guy got his first haircut. He wasnt a bit fan - but he liked sitting in all the cars in the salon!
