Picking Pumpkins in MI

Who knows how accurate this measure is, but the kids always get psyched about standing next to it. For some reason, the best pic Luke would take (despite the fact he WANTED it taken) is with his eyes crossed. Pretty much well explains this age, I guess. Dinges is not always where we go, but its definitely the closest to our house. There have been many seasons spent here now :)

This year, Brooke only cared about little pumpkins. No interest in the big carving one.
Ryan didnt really care about pumkins either. He just wanted to
be in charge of the wheel barrel.

Happy Birthday Brooke

Brooke's birthday was a little bit complicated this year. She had trampoline practice at night and was not willing to miss it - at all. So, we had to rush the celebration into the AM and after school (between school and practice). We did a cinnamon roll as her "cake" for breakfast. After school I took the kids to It'sugar candy store and let them each pick out some candy. Then we rushed to open presents and dropped her at practice. She brought with cookies to share at practice with her teammates for a little extra special something as well.
Waking up early on a school day to watch your sister blow out a candle on a cinnamon roll is TOUGH

The kids were all really tired (as you can see on these little faces) but were also good sports

Taking them all to the candy store brightened sprits, because candy always makes everyone smile.

Happy Birthday Lunch Notes

Both boys placed notes into Brooke's lunch to wish her Happy Birthday ;) She saved them and brought them home with her lunch, so I think they were a nice surprise.
